Our training partners
Learning for health and wellbeing courses develop the knowledge and understanding, skills, capabilities and attributes which individuals need for mental, emotional and physical wellbeing now and in the future.
Provision targets those most in need of support to access as a result of their personal circumstances, for example (but not exclusively):
- having an identified health need
- limited mobility
- experiencing financial hardship
- mental ill health through job insecurity or redundancy
- other ‘life-pressures’ causing stress and anxiety.
Tuppenny Barn
Tuppenny Barn is a UK registered charity. They cultivate and harvest organic produce and use it to create learning experiences for all ages by promoting the benefits of growing, cooking and eating healthy food.
Training offer
Sow and thrive - learn basics of organic food growing - sowing, planting, composting and more.
This course will help you:
- develop independent thinking skills and improve your communication and social skills
- build confidence
- support better physical health, improve mental health and reduce feelings of isolation
- facilitate community engagement and participation
- develop work readiness
- develop horticultural skills and knowledge.

Worthing Mencap
Worthing Mencap is an active, progressive organisation championing the rights of people with learning disabilities and their families and directly improving the facilities and opportunities available to them.
Training offer
Buddys training programme (six months) - A training programme for people with a learning disability or autism.
The training takes place at Buddys, a live coffee shop environment.
Through practical training, this accessible programme focuses on supporting learners to learn skills that will help them on their journey to employment, into the voluntary sector, further education, to gain or improve daily life skills and/or improve their health and wellbeing.
