Chichester District Foodbank provides a non-judgemental service to people who find themselves in crisis. We provide 3 day emergency food parcels and support to individuals and families who find themselves in crisis due to debt, benefit delay and changes, low income, sickness etc. Clients must obtain a voucher which they bring to one of the foodbank centres (Chichester, Midhurst, Selsey and Petworth) where they can exchange it for food and support. Clients can have 3 vouchers in a 6 month period.
What we do
- We believe that everyone should be treated with dignity so when clients arrive they are given a drink and a piece of cake and the opportunity to talk to someone about their situation without being judged.
- Food parcels meet dietary needs eg gluton free
- Clients where possible will be signposted to other agencies that can help them.
- On Fridays in Chichester a CAP Job Club advisor is available for a drop in session.

Our users say
My husband left me unexpectedly and the bedroom tax took too much money out of my benefits. Without this place (Chichester District Foodbank) I don't know what I would have done. It takes a lot of guts to come here.
