Play therapy and creative arts counselling. Person centred therapy to support the child or young person to explore their own experiences, feelings and needs using play and creative arts. The aim is for the therapist to be responsible to the client, not for the client, helping them to explore their own concerns in a safe, supportive and understanding environment without judgement. Play is a child’s natural language and provides a space for a client to express themselves in a way that they feel in control of. Creative arts can support a young person to show their inner voice through metaphor and creativity.
What we do
- Play Therapy promotes children and young people's emotional wellbeing. Play Therapy uses sand, art, clay, music, puppets, role play and other tools to help children make sense of their world.
- Sessions are face to face using a holistic approach, following the child's lead. Sessions are once per week for 40 minutes with a minimum of 12 sessions recommended. Sessions can be held in the child's educational setting or at another suitable venue.
- Therapeutic support for children and young people who have experienced a range of emotional, social or relationship difficulties such as anxiety, stress, friendship issues, bereavement, abuse or family related trauma.
- Certified play therapist with extensive experienced in trauma informed intervention. Fully insured, EDBS and safeguarding trained. Compliant with GDPR.
- Session costs and venues will be discussed during an initial consultation. This will be an opportunity for the parent/carer to share their observations of the child and explore if Play Therapy may be right for them. Please make contact via the website.

Our users say
SENCO, West Sussex Primary School- 'Working with Natalie has enabled children at our school to develop a trusting relationship in which to explore their feelings and emotions. This has proved invaluable to these children, and helped them to overcome their emotional barriers.'
Social Worker- 'There has been some encouraging progress for this child. They talk more openly with others and have been more confident to say no when they are not happy to do something, this is a change from previously. The therapy has certainly contributed to this.'
Child, 8- ’I have really liked coming to sessions. I feel calmer now and I can concentrate better in class.’
Child, 9- 'The sessions are really fun. Natalie is really kind and you'll have a blast! This has helped me to not get so super angry and now I feel less fizzy. I feel more happy and fun.'
Parent, West Sussex- ’I honestly can’t thank you enough for everything this year. We were in such a desperate place and you gently helped us out.’
