Nature Recovery Fund
The Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) sets out how we can work together to help nature recover in West Sussex. It identifies where we need action the most, directs funding to the right places and helps communities and wildlife adapt to climate change. You can view the strategy on the Sussex Nature Recovery website.
To support projects that deliver the priorities of the LNRS, West Sussex County Council set up the £725,000 Nature Recovery Fund.
If your organisation is eligible, you can apply for a grant from the fund of up to £100,000 for each project.
The fund is open to:
- registered charities
- parish and town councils
- Community Interest Companies (CICs)
- other constituted non-profit organisations
- public bodies
A council programme board will manage how we assess applications for grants.
The Service Director for Environment and Public Protection makes funding decisions with the Cabinet Member for Environment and Climate Change.
